There is no timetable for Mercedes Mone to return to NJPW or Stardom but the plan is for her to challenge Giulia when she does.

Mone was injured in the main event of NJPW Resurgence in Long Beach, California on May 21. She fell from the turnbuckle to the floor and was unable to put weight on her foot after. The match went to the finish moments later and an audible was called to have Willow Nightingale win the match and the Strong Women's title.

Our own Dave Meltzer reported in today's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that nobody knows when Mone will be cleared to return.

Meltzer wrote:

Even people who you would think need to know don’t know the exact time line for a Mercedes Mone return. The plan right now is that when she returns, that she will face Giulia for the New Japan Strong title.

Giulia defeated Nightingale for the title on July 5 at NJPW Independence Day night two in a match Meltzer rated three-and-a-half-stars. She's had some of the highest-rated matches in the world over the last few months as well. Her match against Syuri in December and her match against Tam Nakano in April both received four-and-three-quarter star ratings.

PWInsider is also reporting that Mone is scheduled to attend Impact Wrestling's Slammiversary show in Windsor, ON, Canada this weekend. Mone has traveled to support Trinity's performances for the promotion dating back to her Impact debut in April. Trinity challenges Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo on Saturday's show.
