PALOS HILLS-HICKORY HILLS, IL — It’s all about the kids this Friday, June 30, at the Hills Farmers Market. The market opens 7 a.m. at Hickory Hills City Hall, 8652 W. 95th St.

Kid fun runs between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Miss Terri will be painting faces while her hubby is twisting balloons into animal shapes and Star Wars sabres. Both are free. Lots of special activities are planned for the kids with a few characters stopping by.

Pop-up vendors setting up shop include The Creamery, Emerald’s Ice, Nana Kakes by Kim, The Food Dude and Wally’s Waffles to name a few.

Throughout the month of June, the farmers market has been selling raffle tickets for an outdoor inflatable movie screen and wifi/Bluetooth projector. Tickets are 2 for $5. The drawing will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Tickets will be sold up until the big drawing.

The farmers market is organized by members of the Hills Chamber of Commerce, serving business owners and organizations in Palos Hills, Hickory Hills and the surrounding area. Stop by for shopping, friendship and special events from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday through Oct. 13.
