ANNAPOLIS, MD — Pusser’s Caribbean Grille is selling its decorations before closing its downtown Annapolis dock bar next month. The restaurant’s last day will be Oct. 31.

“We’re offering a chance to own a piece of the Pusser’s experience through a sale of decor items including collectible prints, ship models and maritime antiquities,” the eatery said Wednesday on Facebook. “This is your opportunity to take home a lasting memory of Pusser’s Annapolis!”

The memorabilia catalog features everything from $400 19th-century photos of Annapolis to a $15,000 model ship. There’s also a $12,000 Oxford University rowing team boat from the 1920s and a $10,000 figurehead from the bow of an English ship that’s over 200 years old.

Barstools are still available for $150, TVs for $200 and fireplaces for $1,000. The Pusser’s signs, wooden bars and beer dispensers have already been sold. Customers can purchase their pieces at this link, noting the item numbers from the catalog.

The incoming tenant, Atlas Restaurant Group, will replace Pusser’s with an upscale Italian chophouse and a tequila bar. Atlas will also renovate and expand the site’s banquet room to welcome 350 guests.

The Italian restaurant will be named Marmo. The Mexican cantina will be known as Armada. The eateries will both overlook Ego Alley in downtown Annapolis.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the distinctive flavors and experiences of Marmo and Armada to Annapolis,” Atlas Restaurant Group CEO Alex Smith said in a May press release. “These two concepts, along with The Choptank, will create a regional dining destination along Annapolis’ City Dock where guests can enjoy 3 unique dining experiences.”

Atlas will also open another downtown restaurant in the historic Stevens Hardware building, Naptown Scoop and Eye On Annapolis both reported earlier this month. Located at 142 Dock St., the storefront opened in 1870 as a general store and was last home to Mission BBQ, which closed this January.

Pusser’s announced in October 2023 that it would close in autumn 2024. The restaurant said it opened in 1994 inside the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel on a 30-year lease. The hotel didn’t renew the Pusser’s lease, the eatery said. Last fall, Pusser’s said it hoped to eventually reopen in an undetermined location nearby.

“While we are very disappointed by the outcome of our lease negotiations, we certainly look forward to celebrating next year, our last year and our 30th Anniversary, with the Annapolis community,” Pusser’s Co-Owner Chris Townsend said in the October 2023 press release.

The day after Pusser’s announced its pending closure, Atlas announced that it will take over the space at 80 Compromise St.

Atlas said Pusser’s employees can stay aboard and work at the new operations. The restaurant group expects to employ nearly 400 people between The Choptank, Marmo and Armada.

Atlas currently manages 51 properties across the country.

“Through this deal, we will transform the hotel into a culinary destination that will not only delight locals, but also attract visitors from near and far,” Smith said in an October 2023 press release. “With The Choptank restaurant, the addition of the hotel’s two new restaurant concepts, and a best-in-class banquet and events space, Atlas will now operate three waterfront restaurant concepts with unique food and beverage offerings at three different price points, creating a regional waterfront dining and entertainment district for the city of Annapolis.”
