The big news first – the Borough has repaved the NJ Transit Parking Lot next to the Metuchen Train Station. Local officials are also working with taxi companies to add a few more slots at the train station.
The parking meter screens can sometimes be very difficult to read, hence the Borough has improved the contrast on the screens and has added more explanatory signage.

Metuchen had introduced 15-minute parking sports and with the success of this initiative, has added more such parking spaces for quick pickup and drop-offs throughout the downtown.
These spaces are marked with a red 15-minute parking bag over the meter.
On select days during the Holiday season, Metuchen will offer two-hour free parking at metered spots.
Meanwhile, the Pearl Street Garage is available for short- and long-term parking, as well as free parking for up to 3 hours on weekends.
