ENFIELD, CT — It is time for the holidays, a time for giving, and in the spirit of the season, I am feeling generous and wish to reward a lucky Patch reader who shares my interest in Enfield history, sports and generally useless information.
Welcome to the inaugural Enfield Patch trivia contest. We will ask a dozen totally random questions about Enfield, ranging from the 1700s to today, and covering topics such as schools, athletics, infrastructure, entertainment, history and more.
What’s in it for you? Well, the prize for our first winner will be a $25 Frank Pepe’s gift card.

How do you play? There is only one way to enter, and that is by answering these questions in an email only, sent to [email protected]. Your best bet is to copy and paste the questions into an email, then write your answers following each question. Please include your first and last name.
Speaking of copy and paste, there are some people who will just do that, as nearly every answer can be found with a bit of research. Therefore, to ensure it does not turn into a race to see who can Google and copy-and-paste the fastest, we will accept entries until 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22. At that time, the readers with the most correct responses will be entered into a random drawing for the prize.

We will publish the correct answers and name our initial winner Monday morning. If you are the winner and arrange to receive your card right away, you could be enjoying a delicious New Haven-style pizza whilst taking a break from battling the last-minute crazies at Buckland Mall or the dreamers at Mohegan Sun.
Again, responses are to be sent to me via email only. Not posted on Facebook, or via U.S. mail (what is this, 1997?) or by smoke signal.
With all that being said, we unveil our debut list of 12 completely arbitrary questions. Good luck and have fun!
